Dear Executive Committee Members,

I am looking forward to seeing you later today for this important Republican Party of Wisconsin Executive Committee meeting. I wanted to take a minute to provide you with a brief update ahead of our gathering.

As you all know, the RPW constitution requires that an election for RPW officers be held within 45 days of the November election. Obviously, the post election analysis that I have proposed — and that we will discuss this weekend — cannot be completed within that time frame. In order to comply with the RPW constitution and keep our party intact until it is complete, I have asked Brad Courtney to stand for re-election on an interim basis. Brad has graciously agreed to do so.

We all know how long and hard Brad has worked for the RPW. I have nothing but the upmost respect for his loyal service and a deep sense of gratitude for all he has done and accomplished. His dedication to the party and the conservative cause is exemplary. His willingness to remain as Chairman until we can complete our review and search for a permanent Chairman is another typically selfless act. This transition period is an important time for the party and we need stability to conclude our analysis and keep the party functioning during the upcoming Supreme Court race.

As a result, I am asking all of you to support Chairman Courtney on Saturday. I will continue to stay in close contact with the Chairman, and I look forward to his continued work on the committee now and as immediate past Chairman in the future.

I will see you soon,

Ron
