SUMMARY:Wisconsin Economic Forecast Luncheon
DESCRIPTION:The annual Wisconsin Economic Forecast Luncheon returns April 27 with a top speaker and panel to provide national and regional insights for business leaders\, economic development officials\, elected officials and investors. \n\n\n\nThe luncheon was initially launched by the Wisconsin Bankers Association. It is being revamped post-pandemic in cooperation with WisPolitics.com and WisBusiness.com\, two non-partisan news organizations based in Madison\, and a host of partners from across the political spectrum. \n\n\n\nThe luncheon will be held at the Madison Club\, 5 East Wilson St.\, Madison (madisonclub.org) from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday April 27. The cost for the general public is: $45 per person.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe luncheon features a keynote address from Sarah House\, a managing director and senior economist for Wells Fargo’s Corporate and Investment Bank\, followed by a Wisconsin-based panel discussion. \n\n\n\nHouse follows the U.S. macro economy\, including the labor market\, inflation trends\, and monetary policy. Prior to joining Wells Fargo in 2010\, she worked as a research associate for the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond after gaining degrees from Tulane University and the London School of Economics. She has co-authored two books\, “Economic and Business Forecasting’’ and `Economic Modeling in the Post Great Recession Era.’’ \n\n\n\nThe following panel includes: \n\n\n\n–State of Wisconsin Investment Board Head Economist Todd Mattina  \n\n\n\n–Forward Analytics economist Dale Knapp  \n\n\n\n— Marquette Economics Prof. David Clark  \n\n\n\n–And Cynthia Erdman\, president\, Farmers & Merchants Bank of Kendall\, Wis.  \n\n\n\nPartnering organizations include: Wisconsin Realtors Association\, Wisconsin Counties Association\, Wisconsin Builders Association\, Wisconsin Grocers Association\, Wisconsin Hospital Association\, Wisconsin Transportation Builders Association\, Wisconsin Technology Council\, Construction Business Group\, Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation\, International Union of Operating Engineers Local 139\, and the North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters
