The pro-Trump super PAC America First Policies says it is airing TV ads calling on U.S. Rep. Ron Kind, D-La Crosse, to “end the witch hunt” and oppose impeachment.
The group said it was part of a $2 million campaign targeting 27 House members. But it didn’t detail the size of the effort against Kind.
In the spot, the narrator says the “verdict is in” and it was a rigged process, a sham impeachment and there was no quid pro quo, but “Pelosi’s witch hunt continues.” It then quotes two Dem House members who have been critical of the process.
“Your money wasted, your priorities ignored, a nightmare of legislative gridlock, but your Congressman Ron Kind is still siding with them,” the narrator says before urging viewers to call the La Crosse Dem.
The national campaign targeting 27 members of Congress includes $1.6 million on cable and broadcast TV, $400,000 in digital, and $276,750 in newspaper ads.
