A new ad from a pro-Trump PAC focuses on the violent protests in Kenosha that left one business burned to the ground.
America First Action PAC said the ad focusing on Kenosha will run in the Wausau market. The group is also adding $2.8 million in digital, cable and broadcast TV between September and Election Day to a previously announced $3.7 million campaign. The group is focused on the Green Bay, La Crosse/Eau Claire and Wausau markets.
The latest buy is part of the group adding $22 million to the $18 million it previously planned to spend in Wisconsin, Florida, Pennsylvania and Ohio.
In the new ad, Scott Carpenter, manager of family-owned B&L Office Furniture in Kenosha, says he watched online as “40 years of hard work burned down by thugs full of hate.” Carpenter says he listened on the scanner as police said they didn’t have the resources to control it.
“They were told just to leave it be,” he says. “I’m not much for politics, but Joe Biden is so weak, he’ll never stand up for folks like us.”
