Wisconsin is in the spotlight this week with the Dems kicking off their national convention and President Trump and Vice President Pence coming to the state.

While Wisconsin’s Dem delegates aren’t traveling to Milwaukee for the convention, they will still have the traditional breakfast meeting to start their days, though they’ll be virtual. Today’s speakers include: Gov. Tony Evers, U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin, U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore, Milwaukee County Exec David Crowley, state Chair Ben Wikler and Biden Wisconsin state Director Danielle Melfi.

Moore will also address the convention tonight.

There is also a series of virtual events for the state, starting with a pre-program Milwaukee welcome with Mayor Tom Barrett, Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes, U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore and DNC Chair Tom Perez.

The Biden campaign is also doing virtual watch parties in all Wisconsin 72 counties.

For the rest of the week:

*On Tuesday, a rural roundtable with U.S. Rep. Ron Kind, D-La Crosse, and former Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack plus a youth vote rally with Ashley Biden and state Treasurer Sarah Godlewski.

*On Wednesday, an organizing event with Julián Castro, Ana Navarro and Perez. Also, a Wisconsin Women for Biden event with U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Madison, and actress Jamie Lee Curtis.

*On Thursday, a Black faith leader roundtable with U.S. Reps. Emanuel Cleaver, Jim Clyburn and Gwen Moore, Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes, Minnesota AG Keith Ellison. Plus, a voter protection rally with former Georgia lawmaker Stacey Abrams, Barnes, Moore, AG Josh Kaul and California AG Xavier Becerra.

Trump is scheduled to speak around 4:30 p.m. today at Basler Flight Service in Oshkosh.

His son Eric Trump is set to be in Milwaukee tomorrow to address the Milwaukee Police Association, while Vice President Pence will be in Darien on Wednesday.

The Trump campaign website is offering the opportunity to secure tickets for Pence’s event, but not the president’s. It only offers the opportunity to watch a replay of the president’s remarks at 8 p.m.

The Pence event registration includes a COVID-19 waiver that releases the campaign and Tankcraft Corp., where the speech will be held, from any liability to any illness or injury.
