Ofirah Yheskel, who most recently served as deputy communications director for Beto O’Rourke’s presidential campaign, started today as director of media relations for the Democratic National Convention.

The convention also announced today that Kelli Farr has been hired as the director of communications and surrogate operations and Cate Hurley is working as a communications assistant.

Yheskel, whose past work also includes serving as communications director to Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam, was Hillary for America’s Wisconsin state press secretary in 2016.

Farr most recently produced Women Deliver’s 2019 Conference in Vancouver, Calif., and worked for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign as well as the party’s national convention that year in Philadelphia.

Hurley most recently worked in the office of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti.
