Milwaukee County officials expect to wrap up the presidential recount Friday after about 60 ballots from the city of Milwaukee were found at the County Election Commission warehouse in a voting machine.

Milwaukee County Clerk George Christenson said those ballots will be counted on Friday and then commissioners expect to wrap up remaining administrative tasks by midday.

Milwaukee County Election Commission Chair Tim Posnanski recommended those ballots be counted Friday and that both parties bring limited numbers of observers because of the small number of ballots.

City of Milwaukee Election Commission Executive Director Claire Woodall-Vogg said election workers realized ballots were missing when they only found 23 of 88 ballots cast in Ward 254.

Meanwhile in Dane County, tabulators as of 3 p.m. had counted 200,971 ballots, or 58 percent of the total, according to a tweet from County Clerk Scott McDonell. The city of Madison is the only outstanding municipality left.
