Priorities USA has launched a new TV ad in Wisconsin, again targeting President Trump over his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The ad is running in the Milwaukee, Green Bay, Eau Claire/La Crosse and Wausau/Rhinelander markets. It’s part of a $10.2 million TV campaign that starts today and runs through the November election. That’s on top of the $3.4 million the group has spent in Wisconsin since summer on TV and digital ads.
The narrator in the new spot says Trump said “would put America first and now he has.” The ad then ticks off a series of stats, including the U.S. leading the world in coronavirus cases and the number dead, while 26 million have lost their jobs.
“Downplaying the threat, ignoring the experts, refusing to prepare,” the narrator says to close the spot. “Donald Trump is failing America.”
