Dem super PAC Priorities USA is unveiling new digital and TV ads knocking President Trump’s leadership in the face of public health and economic crises and protests over racial injustice and police brutality.
Wisconsin Outreach Director Cassidy Geoghegan said the new TV spot is set to run in the Green Bay, La Crosse/Eau Claire and Wausau/Rhinelander markets as well as in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Arizona. Geoghegan indicated the spending on the ad was a continuation of the group’s commitment to spend at least $13.6 million in Wisconsin through the November election.
The ad, titled “Divides,” features a narrator criticizing Trump’s leadership while headlines from media outlets on the growth of the coronavirus pandemic and unemployment figures as well as images from recent protests flash across the screen.
“Think of the damage that’s been done and imagine what four more years will look like,” the narrator says.
Priorities USA is also rolling out a new digital ad set to run on streaming platforms in swing states.
“Crisis” also hits Trump’s handling of COVID-19, the economy and racial justice protests, accusing the president of “fanning the flames.”
The ad then cuts to images of Joe Biden as the narrator says “We need a president who can unite us, not divide us.”
The spot closes with a picture of the presumptive Dem nominee with the text “We need Joe Biden.”
