Evers bested Michels in three congressional districts, narrowly lost 1st CD


Dem Gov. Tony Evers took more votes than Tim Michels in three of the state's congressional districts last month and narrowly fell short in a fourth as he won statewide by 3.4 percentage points.

Dem U.S. Senate candidate Mandela Barnes, though, only won the state's two deep blue districts and lost both of the state's two swing seats to U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Oshkosh, by more than 4 percentage points each.

The numbers underscore that Dems may need a strong performance from their presidential nominee in 2024 to help them be competitive in the 3rd CD in western Wisconsin and in the 1st CD...
