U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson raised $7 million during the second quarter of the year through his personal campaign account and his leadership PAC, about the same as what he pulled in during the first three months of 2022.
Johnson’s campaign said he received 53,638 online donations during the period with an average donation of $38. But it didn’t release other details of his fundraising, including what he had in the bank to end June.
During the first quarter, Johnson raised $7.1 million, including $5.9 million through his personal campaign account. The rest of the money was pulled in through Ron Johnson Victory, his joint fundraising operation.
He finished March with $3.6 million in his personal campaign account.
With FEC reports due Friday, Dem Mandela Barnes is the only other Senate hopeful to announce fundraising numbers for the three-month period. Barnes’ campaign said last week he raised $2.1 million during the period, an uptick from the $1.7 million he raised during the first quarter.
