GOP guv candidate Rebecca Kleefisch today released the first TV ad of her campaign, vowing to keep schools open and expand the state’s voucher program.

Kleefisch’s campaign declined to provide specifics on the buy, which will run on TV and digital media. That includes how much it’s spending on the campaign and where it will run.

Medium Buying, which tracks TV ads, reported it will start Thursday and run through Jan. 12 on cable in Milwaukee.

Kleefisch narrates the ad, which comes on the heels of the Madison and Milwaukee school districts deciding to return from winter break virtually amid a record spike in COVID-19 cases. She says Evers “sided with union bosses and locked our kids out of their classrooms, while children in poor and rural communities paid the heaviest price.”

Kleefisch adds she’ll “always put Wisconsin kids first” as a mom, will keep schools open, raise standards, and send more money “directly to the classroom to help children make up for lost time.” She closes the spot saying she’ll “empower parents by expanding school choice.”
