Former President Trump is again pressuring Robin Vos to decertify the 2020 election results, warning the Assembly speaker’s primary opponent will do well if the Rochester Republican “doesn’t move with gusto.”

It’s the third time Trump has pressured Vos to vote to decertify the results since the Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled absentee ballot drop boxes are illegal. Last week, Vos rebuffed the overture, saying there was no way to overturn the election. That drew a rebuke from Trump that Vos was a “long time professional RINO.”

Late yesterday, Trump issued a new statement warning Vos to take action.

“This is not a time for him to hide, but a time to act! I don’t know his opponent in the upcoming Primary, but feel certain he will do well if Speaker Vos doesn’t move with gusto,” Trump said. “Robin, don’t let the voters of Wisconsin down!”

Trump didn’t mention Vos challenger Adam Steen, of Burlington, by name in the statement.
