President Biden will use today’s visit to Milwaukee to tout what the White House calls a “manufacturing boom” nearly one year after he signed the Inflation Reduction Act.
Biden will tour Ingeteam, which produces onshore wind turbine generators. The company in May announced it will begin manufacturing electric vehicle charging stations at its Milwaukee facility, tying the work to the green energy provisions in the law Biden signed a year ago.
A White House official, speaking on background, said in conjunction with Biden’s Wisconsin visit, Siemens will announce plans to manufacture solar inverters in Kenosha County.
The White House official said Gov. Tony Evers, U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin and U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore will join Biden during today’s stop.
