The Republican National Committee has set Aug. 23 in Milwaukee for the first GOP presidential primary debate, with the potential for a second debate the following day.
The RNC also announced the criteria for candidates to qualify, including fundraising and polling benchmarks and a requirement for each candidate to sign a pledge to support the eventual Republican nominee.
