Knodl declares victory in 8th SD, Habush Sinykin concedes

GOP state Rep. Dan Knodl declared victory late Tuesday night in the 8th SD over environmental attorney Jodi Habush Sinykin.

With 99 percent of the vote in, Knodl was at 50.9 percent with a lead of 1,296 votes.

Knodl, R-Germantown, told supporters some numbers in Lisbon had yet to be officially filed, but were in his favor.

“We’re in good shape, and we have a victory,” Knodl said.

Habush Sinykin said in a statement Wednesday morning her campaign “fell just shy of bringing home a victory for progress and fair representation.”
