Supreme Court candidate Janet Protasiewicz raised $756,217 over the last half of 2022, pushing her fundraising last year to $924,449, according to numbers her campaign shared with WisPolitics.com.
That tops the $823,104 former Justice Shirley Abrahamson raised in 2008 ahead of her successful reelection bid in 2009. That had been the record fundraising haul for a Supreme Court candidate in the year before an election.
Protasiewicz’ cover sheet shows $720,067 individual donations between July 1 and Dec. 31. She also will report $36,150 in committee contributions and finished the year with $729,679 in the bank.
She didn’t give her campaign a personal loan last year, according to the cover sheet.
State candidates have until Jan. 17 to file their next round of campaign finance reports.
