Judge rejects portion of lawsuit seeking to overturn Supreme Court ruling on drop boxes, curing absentee ballot envelope mistakes

A Dane County judge has rejected part of a lawsuit seeking to overturn the state Supreme Court’s 2022 ruling banning the use of drop boxes and the election day deadline for any mistakes on an absentee ballot envelope to be fixed.
Still, Judge Ann Peacock will allow to continue the part of the suit that challenges the witness requirement as an undue burden on Wisconsinites who live alone.
