Milwaukee-based 1st District to hear appeal in absentee ballot witness lawsuit

The Milwaukee-based 1st District Court of Appeals ruled today it’s the proper venue to hear an appeal in a lawsuit over absentee ballot witness requirements after the League of Women Voters filed its appeal ahead of GOP lawmakers.
The League of Women Voters filed its appeal with the liberal 1st District just ahead of GOP legislators going to the conservative 2nd District, based in Waukesha.
