Parties in redistricting case ordered to split costs for Supreme Court map consultants

The liberal majority on the state Supreme Court ordered six parties that participated in the case that led to new legislative maps to equally split a $128,158 bill for two consultants the court hired to assist in evaluating proposed maps.
Half of that bill will be covered by taxpayers since the parties ordered to cover the costs include Dem Gov. Tony Evers, Dem state senators and GOP lawmakers.
