The United Center, adorned with championship flags from the Bulls and the Blackhawks, has a distinct Chicago flavor as the chief venue for the 2024 Dem national convention this August.

The convention chair, Minyon Moore, is a Chicago native who cites former Mayor Harold Washington as an influence.

But she also cited in her remarks to a Jan. 18 media day the importance of the “Blue Wall” in getting the convo to Chicago and winning reelection for Joe Biden this November.
