Gov. Tony Evers finished 2024 with $2.1 million in the bank — well short of the $3.9 million he reported for cash on hand at the same point four years ago before successfully seeking reelection in 2022.
Evers, who has said he will wait until after the budget to make a decision about seeking a third term, reported yesterday that he raised $2.6 million in 2024 and spent $1.1 million for the year.
His biggest expenses were $427,061 for consulting fees, including for media, and $412,765 for solicitation expenses.
The state Dem Party transferred just over $1 million to the guv’s campaign last year.
In 2020, Evers raised almost $3.9 million and spent $1.7 million. The state party gave Evers nearly $2.7 million that year as he geared up for his reelection bid.
