Dem David Crowley raised $15.5 million over four weeks, while Republican Tom Tiffany pulled in $10.1 million as wealthy donors continued to pour money into the state parties that then transferred millions to their governor candidates.

Tiffany got $9 million from the state GOP and $3.5 million in in-kind contributions as Beloit billionaire Diane Hendricks pumped $13 million into the party. Meanwhile, Crowley received $9.9 million overall from the state Dem Party as several wealthy donors made seven-figure contributions to WisDems. That included $5.5 million from LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman during the pre-election period.

Tiffany reported spending $17.6 million between Sept. 24 and Oct. 19 and finished the period with $4.8 million in the bank.

His haul included $9 million in transfers from the state GOP and nearly $3.5 million in in-kind contributions from the party.

His report also detailed $11 million that Tiffany spent during the period with another $5.1 million on online ads and $215,412 on phones/texting.

Crowley reported spending $14.2 million during the period and $4.1 million in the bank as of Oct. 19.

His haul from WisDems included $9.75 million in transfers and $99,876 in-kind contributions.

Crowley also received a $260,000 transfer from running mate Sarah Godlewski.

He reported spending $11 million on TV during the period, along with nearly $1.8 million on online ads and another $108,480 on phones/texting.

The state Dem Party reported $15.8 million in receipts during the period with five donors who made seven-figure contributions.

Along with the $5.5 million that Hoffman donated, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg gave the party $2 million. The other top donations include: $1.5 million from Lynn Schusterman, an Oklahoma philanthropist; $1 million from Nina Singh Wanstrath, a California philanthropist; and $1 million from Lynde Uihlein, a Milwaukee philanthropist and longtime Dem donor.

The party reported $13.8 million spent during the period, $558,844 in in-kind contributions and $2.4 million in the bank to end the period.

Hoffman also gave WisDems $2.5 million after the most recent reporting period ended. He’s now given the party $23.9 million since 2019.

The state GOP reported $15 million in receipts during the period, $15.8 million in expenses, $4.5 million in in-kind disbursements and nearly $4 million in the bank.

Besides the $13 million from Hendricks, the party received nearly $2 million from GOP committees that included legislative campaigns, the Republican Assembly Campaign Committee and the Committee to Elect a Republican Senate.

The party reported four individual donations beyond the Hendricks donation; two were for less than $10,000.

Hendricks has now given $21.1 million to the state GOP since Jan. 1 and has contributed $32.9 million to Wisconsin campaigns so far this year.
