President Donald Trump endorsed Tom Tiffany for governor and Michael Alfonso in the 7th CD, putting his thumb on the scale of Wisconsin’s two most high-profile GOP primaries.
In a pair of posts on Truth Social late Tuesday, Trump said Tiffany “has always been at my side” while praising Alfonso as a “MAGA Warrior and “young ‘STAR.’”
Tiffany, who faces Washington County Exec Josh Schoemann in the GOP primary, thanked the president for the endorsement.
“Just one year into his second term, wages are rising, gas prices are down, our economy is growing, and our border is secure,” said Tiffany, who has represented the 7th CD since 2020.

Trump wrote on Truth Social, “He will fight to advance Common Sense Values, and put WISCONSIN, AND AMERICA, FIRST.”
Dems were quick to tie Tiffany to Trump. State Chair Devin Remiker in a statement agreed with the president’s assessment that Tiffany has been at Trump’s side “for all of it: ICE murdering Americans in the streets, the Big Ugly Bill, ending funding for the Affordable Care Act, invading Greenland, and raising every day costs.”
