Vice President JD Vance will be in Milwaukee on Wednesday, state GOP Chair Brian Schimming tells WisPolitics.

The vice president will make a stop at the Wisconsin Air National Guard’s 128th Refueling Wing. The White House didn’t immediately respond to an inquiry.

It will be Vance’s first stop in Wisconsin since February, when he stumped for U.S. Rep. Derrick Van Orden, R-Prairie du Chien.

Vance was in Plover for that stop. Meanwhile, President Donald Trump was in Chippewa Falls last month.

Western Wisconsin has seen a string of visits from Trump officials with Van Orden a top target for Dems this fall. That includes Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick in La Crosse today with Van Orden.
