Baldwin, Johnson urge investigation into postal service’s handling of absentee ballots

U.S. Sens. Ron Johnson and Tammy Baldwin are urging the U.S. Postal Service inspector general to investigate “irregularities” in the delivery of absentee ballots for the state’s spring election.
In a letter addressed to USPS IG Tammy Whitcomb, the pair said mail played an “outsized role” in the April 7 election due to a surge in absentee ballot requests over the COVID-19 pandemic.
