WisDOT: Governor Walker approves over $900,000 for design project at Dane County Regional Airport

The taxiway will be parallel to Runway 14/32. Matt Messina, EIT, airport development engineer with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) says the new taxiway will improve safety and traffic flow of the airport. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Runway Safety Action Team recommended the taxiway to reduce runway incursion potentials. Funds from the state and Dane County will be used for this project. Assembly in session today

The Assembly is in session today to vote on an amendment nixing the state treasurer’s office. Members also will vote on legislation to ban local governments from requiring that companies bidding on public projects enter into project labor agreements, as well as a bill that would change the expiration dates on concealed carry licenses that are renewed. Should the PLA bill pass, it’ll head to Gov. Scott Walker’s desk. Meanwhile, if the Assembly passes the constitutional amendment eliminating the state treasurer’s office, it’ll go before voters in the April 2018 election.
