WisDOT: One lane closed on I-39/90 southbound, near mile marker 154, in southern Dane County

One lane is closed on I-39/90 southbound, near East Church Road and mile marker 154, north of the US 51 interchange in southern Dane County. The lane will be closed until 3 p.m. today (April 20). Maintenance crews will repair beam guard in this area. Backups and delays are expected in this area. Motorists are urged to plan ahead and allow extra time to safely reach their destination. Wisconsin Emergency Management: Statewide tornado drill warnings to be tested today

(Madison) – The National Weather Service says today’s statewide tornado drills are a “Go”. At 1:00pm, the National Weather Service will issue a statewide test tornado watch and at 1:45pm a statewide test tornado warning. This drill ends at 2pm. A second drill will occur at 6:45pm with another mock tornado warning. There is no risk of severe weather in the state on Thursday. Many Wisconsin radio and TV stations will participate in the drill. Public Health Madison & Dane County: Public health reminds older adults to get needed immunization

Contact: Sarah Mattes, (608) 242-6414 Madison WI – Adults need immunizations too and Public Health Madison & Dane County (PHMDC) wants to make sure adults get the immunizations they need to stay healthy. To help in this effort, PHMDC recently sent out a letter to approximately 20,000 adults aged 66-80 years old who are due to receive a pneumococcal vaccine to protect them from serious infections of the lungs (pneumonia), bloodstream, and brain and spinal cord (meningitis). WisDOT: Lane shifts and crossovers to redirect motorists traveling on I-39/90 northbound near Edgerton

Contact: Steven Theisen, WisDOT Project Communications Manager (608) 884-1230, steven.theisen@dot.wi.gov Starting Saturday morning (April 22), motorists traveling on Interstate 39/90 northbound near Edgerton will encounter a crossover, directing them to shift onto the southbound side of I-39/90 as crews reconstruct and expand an 8-mile section of the northbound Interstate from the Dane/Rock County line to East Church Road, north of the US 51 interchange (Stoughton Exit 156). This section of Interstate reconstruction and expansion is anticipated to be completed in mid-November 2017.
