The Assembly Committee on Health today voted along party lines to back a bill prohibiting the state from covering abortions for its employees, with some exceptions.
Dems voted against the bill, calling it part of a broader “war on women” and saying it inserts legislators into decisions that should be kept between a woman and her doctor.
