Caledonia, WI — Today, the General Teamsters Local Union No. 200 endorsed Randy Bryce in his campaign to replace Speaker of the House Paul Ryan in Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District.
In a letter to the Bryce Campaign, the Teamsters Local Union 200 Executive Board wrote:
Randy is currently an active Union member of Ironworkers Local 8 and will be a powerful voice for organized labor and his constituents upon his election to this most prestigious position representing the working class of not only Wisconsin but the entire nation.
The Teamsters join a growing list of labor unions who are supporting Bryce’s insurgent candidacy for Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District.
“The Teamsters are joining our movement for change and I couldn’t be prouder to earn their support,” said Bryce. “We are building an inclusive coaltiion of constituents who are ready to stand up to Speaker Ryan and demand a representative who shares our values. Paul Ryan continues to masquerade as a good guy, while he turns his back on the working class on a daily basis. The time is now to take a firm stand against his unproductive, disrespectful tenure as the representative of our region in Congress.”
Randy Bryce is a veteran, union ironworker, and cancer survivor. Since announcing his candidacy in late June, Bryce’s campaign has drawn support from more than 32,000 individual contributors while earning support from countless elected officials, labor unions, progressive organizations, and grassroots activists.
