Dems call for new transpo committee to find funding solutions

Dem leggie leaders are calling for a Joint Transportation Committee evenly split between the two parties to find a long-term funding solution.

But a spokeswoman for Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald, R-Juneau, said leaders worked carefully to appoint committee membership ahead of the session and to rework the structure now would “seriously disrupt legislative business.”
