U.S. Rep. Sean Duffy, R-Wausau, told state GOP convention attendees President Trump is “helping us make history and make America great again.”

He said Congress and Trump have “started the process of dismantling the Obama agenda” by rebuilding the military, “going after ISIS” and North Korea and rolling back the Dodd-Frank financial regulations.

Meanwhile, he added, unemployment is down and markets are up.

“The left doesn’t know what to do about it and the media doesn’t know how to report it because they thought this was going to be a disaster,” Duffy said.

Duffy also reminded attendees of GOP victories in Wisconsin last fall, saying the state “absolutely crushed it” for Republicans, helping elect Trump and re-elect U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson despite pundits saying either wouldn’t stand a chance.

He also criticized the “protest and thuggery and negativity” from Democrats, saying it’s similar to what Wisconsin saw during the Act 10 fight. He warned “the left is motivated” and is going to “come hard” after Republicans in the coming months.

“It’s going to be our job to stand up and push hard,” he said.
