State Sen. Jon Erpenbach, addressing a Dem state convention being held in his Senate district, told activists Dems believe in letting teachers teach, that health care is a right and that the Wisconsin they know is worth fighting for.
He also got in a shot at President Trump in laying out the party’s values while declaring, “Bring on 2018.”
“We know science is real,” Erpenbach, D-Middleton, said to applause. “And no matter how hard the Republicans try, you can’t comb over facts. It just won’t happen.”
The dig was in reference to Trump’s decision to pull the U.S. out of the Paris climate agreement. Erpenbach also joked if hair spray were banned in Washington, D.C., it would immediately improve the quality of the ozone in the nation’s capital.
