Evers voices opposition to regents proposal to punish students for violating others’ free speech

State schools Superintendent and Dem guv candidate Tony Evers said today he’s against a Board of Regents proposal to punish students for violating others’ free speech rights.
Under the resolution, UW System students who are found responsible for disrupting others’ freedom of expression twice would be suspended, while those who do so three times would be expelled. Regents will consider it later this week when they meet at UW-Stout.
