Gallagher’s post-election fundraising outpaces recent Wis. House freshmen

Freshman U.S. Rep. Mike Gallagher’s first-quarter fundraising report shows he garnered more than any Wisconsin freshman in at least a decade while out-raising many of his fellow House GOP newcomers.
Gallagher, R-Green Bay, also pulled in about half of his individual contributions from outside the state, a WisPolitics.com check of federal campaign finance records shows.
Gallagher, a former Marine and U.S. Senate foreign policy aide who easily beat Outagamie County Exec Tom Nelson in November, raised $302,613 in the first three months of the year, according to his latest FEC filing.
