Holtz email: Reform group asked him to run, offered campaign support

State schools superintendent challenger Lowell Holtz wrote in an email last January that a "reform group" asked him to run for the post and guaranteed it'd do "all of the fundraising, organizing, etc." associated with the election bid, according to an email released by One Wisconsin Now.
Records obtained by the liberal advocacy group and shared with WisPolitics.com also show that former GOP Rep. Don Pridemore recruited Holtz to run against incumbent Tony Evers and contacted him through the then-superintendent's Whitnall School District email account.
