At a candidate forum today, Holtz derided Evers and DPI officials who are "presuming to know what's best for your community" despite never having been there.
But Evers, who's running for a third term, countered he's in schools "all the time," telling Wisconsin Association of School Boards members "you know me." The two spoke at a WASB forum in Madison and were provided questions ahead of time.
