MacIver appealing federal judge ruling on John Doe communications seizures

The conservative MacIver Institute is appealing a ruling from a federal judge that dismissed a class-action suit over the seizure of electronic communications during the John Doe probe.
The group had sued Milwaukee County DA John Chisholm, former GAB Director Kevin Kennedy and others.
But Judge William Conley ruled the search warrants were properly issued that Chisholm and others on the prosecution team obtained in the investigation to seize the records, rejecting the MacIver Institute's argument they violated the federal Stored Communications Act.
