GOP state Sen. Jerry Petrowski isn’t saying yet whether he’ll vote for the mining bill due on the Senate floor tomorrow, but he told WisPolitics.com this afternoon he “did a lot of work” on an amendment the Assembly added to win support from his caucus.
Petrowski, R-Marathon, said he typically does not say if he’s going to support a bill until the day of a vote. Still, he said he was very involved in the amendment, which is comprised of five different provisions. That includes one that would delay the bill’s implementation for six months after the bill would be signed to give local governments...
