State tax collections come in $14 million higher than originally expected

State tax collections in 2016-17 came in $14 million higher than had been expected in January, a bump of 0.1 percent, according to the Legislative Fiscal Bureau.
The nearly $15.2 billion collected in 2016-17 was up 2.8 percent compared to the previous year.
The final individual income tax collections of $8.04 billion came in $10.5 million less than had been estimated. But sales and corporate taxes — the other two biggest pieces of general purpose revenue — came in a little higher than expected.
