TUE PM Update: Candidates in special elections file nomination papers; most schools get passing grades

-- Three new candidates have emerged to run for the seat formerly held by Republican Sheila Harsdorf ahead of the nomination paper filing deadline this evening.
But one of them appears short of the required signatures to qualify for the ballot.
Among the new candidates are Libertarian Brian Corriea, of Wilson, and Dem John Rocco Calabrese, of Glenwood City. The third, Republican Ken Rimer, of Hammond, logged only 389 signatures with his nomination papers, short of the 400 needed to run for state Senate.
