U.S. Sen. McCain, others file Supreme Court briefs on Wisconsin redistricting case

GOP U.S. Sen. John McCain and his Dem colleague Sheldon Whitehouse are among the more than two dozen parties who filed briefs this week urging the U.S. Supreme Court to find Wisconsin’s Assembly maps were unconstitutionally gerrymandered.
McCain, R-Ariz., and Whitehouse, D-R.I., bemoaned what they say is an “influencer class” that their constituents see as “garnering disproportionate rewards at the public’s expense” with gerrymanders one of the tools they use to accomplish that.
