Voters reject $16.41 million in school referendum requests, approve $6.6 million

Voters rejected $16.41 million in referendum requests in the spring primary, while approving about $6.6 million statewide.
Only five referenda were on the primary ballot, with the biggest ticket item, $12.21 million in Waterford Union High School District for a high school fitness center, failing to pass. Another failing referendum would've authorized Dover School District $4.2 million for classroom additions, a new gym and other renovations.
