WED AM Update: Assembly committee to hold hearing on amendment to eliminate state treasurer’s office

-- An amendment that would eliminate the office of state treasurer is getting a second consideration at an Assembly hearing this morning.
The Committee on State Affairs is holding a public hearing on the amendment, which would eliminate the office in 2019.
While that amendment cleared both chambers last session, it would need to do so again this session before going to statewide referendum on a date the Legislature must set.
