-- A Dem bill that would require state and local government contracts to be executed with a preference for American-made materials is getting a public hearing today in an Assembly committee.
The so-called "Made in America Act" is from authors: Reps. Peter Barca, D-Kenosha; Steve Doyle, D-Onalaska; and Sen. Dave Hansen, D-Green Bay. A similar bill introduced last session didn't go anywhere.
