To Whom It May Concern – In response to the announcement that the Social Security Administration’s Office of the Inspector General will, as requested, be opening an investigation into the circumstances and procedures leading up to the planned closure of the Mitchell St. SSA Field Office on Milwaukee’s Southside, Congresswoman Gwen Moore (WI-04) and U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin, released the following statement: “Violating congressionally mandated closure and consolidation policies at the expense of an already underserved community is inexcusable,” said Congresswoman Moore. “I am encouraged that the Inspector General will be investigating how the decision was made to close the Mitchell St. Field Office
