GOP U.S. Senate candidate Leah Vukmir recounts working third shift to get through college and 16-hour days to make ends meet in her first TV ad of the general election. WHEN: Sept. 13, 8:30-10:30 a.m. WHERE: Monona Terrace, Madison Last year the Madison Common Council created a special task force on city government to examine and make recommendations on the structure and powers of the Mayor’s Office, Common Council, and the City’s Boards, Commissions, and Committees. The Task Force has met regularly since February and plans to issue a report with recommendations to the Common Council in mid-2019.
