Mothers Against Gun Violence will be co-hosting the Lt. Governor forum. This non-partisan event is an opportunity for all of us to become better-informed citizens and have a voice in the democratic process. All lieutenant governor candidates have been invited.

In Wisconsin the role of lieutenant governor is important. In addition to being first in the line of succession if the governor cannot fulfill their duties, the lieutenant governor works as an arm of the governor’s office. The lieutenant governor can officially represent the governor to a statutory board, committee, or commission. Just as significantly, the lieutenant governor works as an unofficial representative of the governor’s office, pushing the agenda and helping the governor’s office stay connected to communities across Wisconsin.

This is a great opportunity to ask the candidates about their support for issues that are important to you. Please arrive early to submit your questions for the candidates.
