-- AG Brad Schimel is expected to announce today whether he'll seek a recount after the county canvasses showed him falling to Dem rival Josh Kaul by 17,190 votes.
That margin is 0.65 percent of the more than 2.6 million votes cast in the AG's race. And it's within the margin allowable under state law to request a recount. But Schimel would have to cover the costs.
The final county canvass was received Friday, meaning state candidates have until 5 p.m. Wednesday to request a recount.
