SUBJECT: Pathways Forward major donors news conference Sept. 14

UW-Stout Chancellor Bob Meyer will be joined by three major donors in announcing more than $10 million in gifts to Stout University Foundation at a news conference Friday, Sept. 14.

The news conference, open to media, will be held at 1 p.m. in the Overlook Lounge on the second floor of the Memorial Student Center, 302 10th Ave. E. The lounge is above the west entrance of the building.

Free parking is available in lot 29, 300 13th Ave. E., just east of Johnson Fieldhouse and a short walk to the student center. A map of the UW-Stout campus is available here.

Scheduled to attend the news conference are Debbie Cervenka, wife of the late Bob Cervenka, the founder of Phillips Plastics, which has facilities in Eau Claire and Menomonie; Joe Pregont, president and chief executive of Prent Corp. in Janesville; and Dallas and Edith Pankowski of Plover, who own a real estate company. Pregont and Dallas Pankowski are UW-Stout alumni, and the former Edith Rogers is from Menomonie.

The news conference is part of a full day of activities announcing the public phase of UW-Stout’s $35 million Pathways Forward comprehensive campaign. Formal kickoff activities are scheduled for 4:15 p.m. in Harvey Hall Theatre, 721 Third St. E.
